Questions and answers
How much does a 3D walkthrough of a custom home cost?
For homes up to 6,000 sq ft: Walkthrough from $7,500, Signature from $15,000 and Estate from $22,500, with everything included listed on the pricing page. Larger homes add $1.50 per extra square foot. A fixed written quote follows once we have seen the plans.
Can I see my house before it's built?
Yes. We build a measured model of the house from the architect's plans and render it photoreal, so you can walk every room at eye height on a phone, laptop or VR headset before construction starts.
What do you need from me to start?
The architect's PDF plan set (elevations and sections help), the designer's selections or the finishes chosen so far, and a written licence from the plan's owner. For yachts: the GA plans, the profile, the designer's renders and the specification.
How accurate is it to the plans?
The model comes from the dimensioned drawings, not from images. Each walkthrough shows the plan revision it was built from, and your quote states a written tolerance with a free fix for anything outside it.
Do I need special software or a headset?
No. It opens in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer. VR in a headset and AR on iPhone are included for when you want them.
Can the interior designer change finishes later?
Yes. Selections are stored as data, so a change is re-rendered in the real rooms rather than rebuilt. Signature includes two owner revision cycles.
Is my address or my plan made public?
No. Nothing we make carries the address or the owner's name, links are private and can expire, and we take anything down on request. We use your project in our portfolio only if you opt in.
Who owns the plans and the walkthrough?
The architect keeps the copyright in the design and we work under a written licence from them. Your licence to use the walkthrough is set out in the quote.
How is this different from a Matterport or 3D capture tour?
A capture tour scans a space that already exists. We build from the drawings, so the walkthrough exists before the building does, and it can show finishes that have not been chosen yet.
How is this different from renders from a studio?
Studio renders are fixed views, typically $650–2,500 for each 360° (Lumerse pricing). We deliver the whole property, walkable and measured, with the 360°s and the film made from the same model.
How much does a superyacht 3D visualization cost?
For new builds and yachts in build up to 50 m: Walkthrough from $24,000 and Signature from $36,000. Yard platforms that keep one model line current for dealers and shows are by proposal, typically $45,000–75,000. See yacht prices.
Does a 3D walkthrough raise the sale price?
We don't claim it does: the only independent study of tours and prices found no significant effect once photo quality was controlled (Harvard Business School working paper 24-003). What it changes is certainty before you build, and what a buyer can see before completion.
How do payments work?
A fixed written quote, then an invoice: homes 50% to start and 50% on delivery; Estate, yachts and yard platforms 40/30/30 with the middle payment at model approval. Bank transfer by default, cards accepted.
Where do you work?
Anywhere. Everything is done from the drawings, so there is no site visit, and you review each stage on the private link.
How long does it take?
It depends on the drawings, the tier and the number of revision rounds. Your fixed quote states the schedule, and you see a preview at every step.
